78C. Parking of vehicles at an aerodrome- (1) No person shall park any vehicle at any Government aerodrome other than an aerodrome to which the International Airports Authority Act, 1971(43 of 1971) applies or is made applicable except in a place provided for the parking thereof and except on payment of a fee not exceeding three rupees per vehicle per hour, as may be specified by the Director-General from time to time for such parking, to the Officer Incharge of the aerodrome or any other person authorised in this behalf by the Director-General by general or special order.

(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1), no fees shall be payable in respect of-

(i) vehicles owned by the Central and State Governments including Union Territories;

(ii) vehicles owned by persons who are engaged on regular duty at the aerodrome; and

(iii) any other vehicle or category of vehicles that may be exempted by the Director-General, if considered expedient to do so, for reasons to be recorded in writing.

(3) The Director-General or the officer incharge of the aerodrome or any other person authorised in this behalf by the Director-General, by general or special order, may, if he is satisfied that it is necessary or expedient so to do for the maintenance of proper order or discipline, refuse admission of any vehicle into such aerodrome or require the same to be taken out of it

(4) The fees referred to in sub-rule (1) shall be paid in cash to the officer incharge of the aerodrome or any other person authorised by the Director-General in this behalf, for which a receipt shall be issued forthwith.
